Craftsmen from Phillips Tile CO. lay new slabs of marble to serve as the new altar flooring. The "Crema Bordeaux" granite from Brazil was specifically chosen for the altar because of the unique colors and for their ability to be tiled as seen in the second shot. These stones, which weigh nearly 200 pounds each, where first photographed, then tiled electronically before being cut and before being placed on the floor of the altar. This granite will also serve as the color palette for the balance of the church.
